Queens Park Rangers v Prestonn North End Loftus Road 17.15 hrs ko No more 3 pm kick offs this season, this one chosen for Sky begs the question, WHY? www.qpr.co.uk/www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/q...ers/forum/www.not606.com/LAST TIME OUT FORM GUIDE QPR 10 PNE 5 We have flip floops on they can smell the beach IN FORM THERE'S NO ONE QUITE LIKE GRANDAD Got some stick from our lot over the years CULTURE Shepherd's Bush Empire (currently known as O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire for sponsorship reasons, and formerly known as the BBC Television Theatre) is a music venue in Shepherd's Bush, West London, run by the Academy Music Group. It was originally built in 1903 as a music hall for impresario Oswald Stoll, designed by theatre architect Frank Matcham; among its early performers was Charlie Chaplin. In 1953 it became the BBC Television Theatre.[1] Since 1994, it has operated as a music venue. It is a Grade II listed building.[2] Doesn't look as this lot played at the Empire but they did write a song about the kick off time Why should we care? Who’s Available? Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Ryan Lowe confirmed Ali McCann, Ben Whiteman and Brad Potts are all unlikely to feature before the end of the campaign. There is more positive news as far as Liam Millar is concerned, though, with the Canadian back in training and expected to be in contention on Saturday. Alan Browne and Ryan Ledson, who weren't quite ready to start during the week against Southampton, are in better shape ahead of the trip to Loftus Road and could come in to the side. Opposition Focus With three games remaining of the campaign, Queens Park Rangers still have work to do to retain their Sky Bet Championship status. They sit three points above Huddersfield Town, who currently occupy 22nd, but the R’s head into the weekend winless in three matches, having been beaten by fellow relegation rivals Sheffield Wednesday within that run. If the Hoops can stay up, it’ll be considered a job well done by Spanish head coach Martí Cifuentes who took over in October with the side sat 23rd. Match Officials Referee: Gavin Ward Assistant Referees: Lee Venamore and Adam Crysell Fourth Official: Lee Swabey Gavin Ward, who has shown 100 yellow cards and two reds in 26 matches this season, will referee this fixture. Ward has taken charge of just one PNE match this campaign – the home victory over Plymouth Argyle – and North End’s last win on the road with him as the main official was the 3-2 win against AFC Bournemouth in December 2020. MACS View Looks like we may have a semblence of a midfield against the Hoops which may provide our forwards with service they can work with. Rangers need the points we don't in the return game at Deepdale also on the box we performed woefully Rangers duly abd deservedly won, will Fantastic have them fired up for this one, luckily it's a 10 am coach just 78 hours after getting off the one from Southampton, can my arse get any larger well let's see. In the aforementioned Who song, lyric was the seats are seductive, don't think Townsend wrote it about the away end seats at Loftus Road, those who have been will know.

Well I bought a ticket, so I'm there with southern dweller son. Great thread. As for The Who, saw them at Wembley in 79 along with AC\DC & The Stranglers it was just after Moon had died. Daltrey is a QPR fan I think and was brought up in Shepherds Bush.
I fancy a reaction on Saturday and a 1-2 away win
However.....very fed up about the kick off time

I was pleased with the KO time as I was going to watch it after the crunch Sutton v Crawley match. Mid-table Championship mediocrity compared to the plight in which Sutton find themselves is a luxury. Having an operation tomorrow afternoon so I won't be watching either match. Last three gigs I saw in Sheperds Bush were Tin Machine, David Bowie and a remembering David Bowie memorial concert.

Excellent thread..had it not been for the change in KO time I would have gone (had enough getting home from Chelsea).
I really have no idea as to what may happens..I hope for some reaction to the Saints game but we were dire against QPR at home.
I've always thought that we were never going to make the play-offs (not good enough) and that we are no more than a top end middle of the table side so nothing about the current position surprises me although, to be fair, I think Lowe has latterly had his hands tied with regards to available fit players.
(And it would not bother me in the slightest if Browne went...I attribute one of the reasons for the team's inconsistency down to his inconsistency).

There always seems to have been a percentage of fans who seem to believe that Woodman is a top championship goalkeeper. It's so far from the truth.
Just when you think he's turned a corner and producing some decent performances he drops a literal schoolboy error. He's a big weakness imo. Year left on his deal - we will probably give him a big fat extension instead of selling.

Apart from first 10 mins when Miller missed a sitter first half pretty dire it's a shame that PNE don't include an intelligence test in their recruitment policy very few of this lot would be here including the manager

All keepers make mistakes...it's not his fault that we have failed to score in the last 4 away games. Fact is the squad has little strength in depth.
Game only told us what we know - Woodman is at best a very average keeper - Woodburn will never be a Championship player, his touch and reading of the game are not great and , worst of all, he has zero defensive capability, opp. players waltz past him. - Brady has a penchant for passing the ball sideways to nobody - build ups are way too slow - without MF there is little creativity - set piece play is abysmal - we play with a complete lack of urgency until it is too late
I did think though that Hughes and Lindsay had decent games today...it says everything that given his lack of Lindsay has probably been the most consistent performer this year.
I said it above (and previously) for me Browne can go...been at the club too long. He strolls through games, constantly slows it down (how often do you see him just pass the ball first time?), and he makes poor decisions. Twice in the first half today he could have whipped in crosses but 'no' he's got to have another touch, allow defenders to cover, and then play a short inside pass.
Without Whiteman playing the ball out of defence and McCann winning the ball and playing it in midfield we just hit hopeless balls forward in hope ..no wonder Riis too often struggled to bring the ball down under control and Keane just disappeared for large parts of the game. Only time we look threatening is when Millar injects some pace and takes on defenders.
There's a lot of deadwood that needs clearing out but given the players we've seen brought in to make up the squad numbers you worry about who would come in.
I wonder what goes on at Euxton and if it's new coaches that are required. maybe the end of the season with nothing to pay for but supporters deserve more than this rubbish.

Trouble is we don’t score or attack so Freddie has to keep clean sheets or we are goosed. He dropped a cross today, fair enough but who was defending and let the cross come in so easily anyway? Just awful. Awful. Awful. And Ryan picked him.

Lowe stated last week that he would be playing Woodburn a player who he tried to sign at both Bury and Plymouth has anybody else seen anything in him to make them think he is championship standard this not about Woodburn personally and I don't blame him for the defeat but about RL and his ability as a manager and his comments after the game just prove how far he is up his own a__e

I think Lowe will be here next season unfortunately. Fasten your seat belts. Certainly been a season of 4 quarters with potential promotion and potential relegation form in each of them. Only Rovrum have done as badly as us over the last 6 games amassing 4 points each.
